Primary Wing
The curriculum of the Primary Wing is designed with the aim of focusing on the following:
1) Enable children to work in a competitive and cooperative environment.
2) Develop leadership qualities.
3) Create team spirit.
4) Work within a time frame (punctuality).
5) Be diligent and sincere in completing any task .
6) Honing of creative talents.
The activity based teaching encourages deep understanding of concepts in the child. Interactive teaching encourages more interaction with teachers. The child is no longer a silent listener and participates in interactive learning which develops his communication skills. Meaningful and quality home work is given to the students to make them more creative & logical and to develop their critical thinking. Group activities are encouraged in the class and the children learn new things from their peers, a learning environment which is student centric is created by us. We create learning opportunities where the students explore and frequently share their learning within & beyond their classroom.As per the directive of CBSE the school has adopted Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation for improvement of student’s achievements through diagnosis, remediation, encouragement and appreciation. The challenge is not making the switch from marks to grades but of changing the mindset of all the parents, students and the teachers. The key to success of CCE is active involvement of parents and students. Both scholastic and CO-scholastic areas are given due weightage. Co-scholastic areas are assessed based on life skills, attitudes and values.
Regular parents teachers meetings enable a two way interactive process for the development of the children. Parents can communicate through e-mails for any specific problem. The school website is updated regularly with the latest activities of the school.
Beyond Classrooms
Thematic class presentations involve the participation of the entire class, whose objective is to boost confidence and selfworth among the children. Essay writing, recitation, music, dance and art competitions are a regular feature where children get valuable exposure under the guidance of teachers. Physical Health Education plays an important role in the education process and hence is well balanced in their curriculum. Physical Education Cards PEC is a comprehensive Physical Education Programme for students in the Primary classes. It is an inter disciplinary programme involving children in PT exercises and games integrating their learning of Mathematic and Geography. The school inculcates moral values in every child. Moral Education is a part of the curriculum. Mass Havans are organized at regular intervals. Guidance and Counselling: A full time counselor offers guidance and counseling to both children and parents to cope with stress of academics and daily life.
Making Noble Human Beings
Children are sensitized about their environment and how they can contribute to save some scarce natural resources like water, electricity etc.Saplings are planted by children on Van Mahotsav Day emphasizing the importance of trees in our lives.Going Global. The International School Activities fulfills this objective of the school in helping children source, learn and display information of select countries chosen for this.
Mindspark Programme
Children today are moving at a fast pace towards a future which holds unimaginable advancements. In order to make sure that they are ready to face these challenges, the school along with MINDSPARK under EI (Educational Initiatives) has tried to create a futuristic platform of education that enables critical thinking and deeper understanding of concepts in students. MINDSPARK provides an engaging and interactive platform that makes students enjoy what they learn. It is a customized self – learning platform with a global database. A platform which caters to each child’s needs.
Influent Learning
In today’s global age, the importance of communicating in English cannot be denied. Fluency in English conversation is not only required for conveying ideas but also to ensure better chances of success and getting exposed to international diversities. Keeping this in mind , the school has initiated a pilot project to equip the students with the communication skills needed for success in this global area. The programme caters to developing skills like voice modulation, pace, emphasis, diction, facial expression, correct posture and creativity of the mind.
