Community Service  

To teach the children to care and share, we undertake community service at different levels. The three schemes which are currently going on in our school are :-


An yearly endeavour under community service undertaken by the school. Every year students and teachers donate blankets, woollen clothes and books to bring some warmth and the light of learning to the less fortunate by reaching out to them.


An initiative started by young entrepreneurs of SRDAV to induce learning, caring and sharing within the students. This noble effort is made to inspire students to create products and selling it for earning profit and to help the community.


The project assigned by the CBSE to the students focuses on the eradication of child labour at grass root level. Our school took an  initiative to provide free and elementary education to the less fortunate children along with the mid day meal. Their basic amenities required for the education are being fulfilled by our school. This initiative has been named as SAHYOG. Our school has provided them an opportunity and a platform to fulfill their dreams.

Besides this we also organize Tree Plantation and Computer Literacy Drives and  Blood Donation Camps. Further to enhance social cause , self-employment activities are interwoven with the school curriculum to promote the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. In order to combat any natural calamities , Natural Disaster Management Club conducts regular drills.


The National Service Scheme sponsored by the Ministry Of Youth Affairs ,Govt Of India functions effectively in the school. The NSS unit conducts Periodic Literacy and awareness lectures, tree plantations and blood donation programmes and free medical camps in an adopted village near our school .Computer Education is imparted to children from the village. Engaging in creative constructive action to bridge the gap between the have and have-nots through empowerment is the main focus NSS activity.


The Army Wing for boys was started in the year 2001.30 boys have so far cleared ‘A’ level examination organized by Ministry of Defense, Govt Of India. For this, they attend camps organized by Director General, NCC along with their regular marching practice and lecture sessions in the school. Students who are winning accolades at the national level are awarded Scholarship for the whole year by the school.
